Welcome to an Art and Craft Renaissance with Samantha and Amy of StitchSpace. Stitch Space is a Sewing and Fiber Art Studio in Los Angeles. Amy and Samantha, not only teach sewing and other timeless arts, but facilitate creativity and personal expression in the community. After taking some of their classes, we had to bring em on Dom U to talk about the importance of arts and crafts in our lives, not only for the meditative, healing and blissful moments they bring but also for the social connection that we crave as human beings. People have no idea what they are really capable of creating until they try. Whether or not you consider yourself artsy fartsy, live in LA or have ever desired to create with your hands, this episode brings passion, community and chemistry. Enjoy these two creators and entrepreneurial partners on an elevating adventure!

Connect with them on their website. They hold regular sip and stitches, kid’s camps, private events and an array of classes. Today they have a flower crown workshop but look out for their explicit embroidery class too. The best thing about Samantha and Amy’s teaching style is that they know how to allow the creativity to flow and they facilitate limitless artistic expression for their students. You will hear heartfelt moments on this podcast on the importance of play, connection and confidence that students gain on their StitchSpace journey. Plus, their model is green friendly focusing on “slow fashion” and re-purposing. The fashion industry is one of the greatest pollution producers on the planet. All of us need to recognize our part in that consumption and at the very minimum make it conscious. There are an infinite amount of possibilities to be created and explored artistically. Let’s do it together at StichSpace!
